SO, i figured now, when i'm too tired to think about what i'm writing, would be the perfect time to say

I'm going back to texas for January Ministry Team.

Yes, I'm excited
Yes, I know i'm crazy
Yes, it will be hard
and YES, i have no clue what i'm doing

but it's ok. it's all good. cuz this was not my idea, it's God's, so he's gonna figure out how it's gonna work, and then hopefully tell me so i can get it done. at least, that's the plan.

well, no word yet as to how i am legally going to be gotten back into the country, so if you happen to be thinking about me sometime, prayer is greatly appreciated.

thanks guys.
goodnight.

-13 days and counting...great things are going to happen! i can feel it :)

Good news Folks!

After weeks of not being able to charge my ipod bc "'that darn thing* won't work," (my usb cord just happens to still be residing in kentucky without me) I took to arguing with my wall charger (*that darn thing) again this morning. I finally convinced it to work by propping it up upside down between two piles of laundry and pulling the plug half-way out of the outlet...and voila! charlie loves me again! the question is, will there be a repeat performance? who knows!

I saw these 2 signs on the side of the road while on my way to see kristin last weekend:
                                     Fatigue Kills
                                    Take a Break

                                    Tailgating Kills
                                 Leave some Space

It always seems like the road is talking to me when i read these types of signs and, in the midst of laughing hysterically, i feel like i'm going crazy!  hahaha, okay so that's already an established fact, thanks charlie....but, the thing is, i don't always feel crazy...

Life is looking a little brighter in the city of Oshawa for me. I got a job at Danier Leather in the mall this week, so that gives me something to do instead of spending my days holed up in a basement apartment watching West Side Story and forgetting to eat. oh, and it gives my grandma more of a chance to worry about me getting stalked/drugged/abducted/sold to mexico. no worries though, at least i'll be making money.

The GREEN Emmy's?

I mean, HELLO, the carpet was still RED!!!
Come on, people, it doesn't matter how many bottles you recycle, the ice is still melting! And O boy, does Canada love to recycle. From:
"Reduce Reuse Recycle" and "Be Seen Be Green"
to
Green rooftops, & the Green Party
PLUS the shirt I saw this week
"Think Green!" *

I love it!!!

That's pretty much all i'm loving about Canada these days. The weather is getting colder and everything is hecka expensive, more expensive than I remember, even though the Canadian dollar hit par today (became equal in worth to the American dollar) prices are still ridiculous.

The colours are just as beautiful as i remember though. Autumn has always been my favorite season and it rarely disappoints me. I love the crispness in the air and seeing all the different colours of the trees....gold and orange and yellow and green! i like how just my nose gets cold when i'm outside and how going inside is so cozy. I like drinking tea with my grandma at night and talking about how her day at work was.

On another note...You know you've got it bad when you're watching Oprah and thinking, "headroom...headroom...headroom!! gosh darn it, they can't hear me!"
yep, that's me. that's me all over.

* i have to thank Lisa Gungor for inspiring me to search all over America for this shirt only to find it after being 2 weeks in canada. thanks a lot.

So this is what post teen mania transition feels like...huh

It is harder than i had anticipated to reduce the past 20 years of my life to photo albums and scrapbooks.

I have been buried up to my elbows in my room the past 2 days trying to pack up my room for when my parents move 2 months from now. As an ex-packrat, [thanks to Bekah and Pamela] I have to say i really like having the freedom to move around and not have much to take with me. I think i have already gotten rid of half of everything i own. It was humorous to watch my mum digging through like 3 huge boxes of trash that I had already thrown away, looking for "things to keep"...she isn't quite as ex-packrat as myself. Needless to say, i had to hide the boxes from my dad; he probably would have wanted to try to sell some of it!

Being home has been harder than i would have liked. You know that "omg, i feel like i'm in some sort of horror movie right now" feeling? yah, i hate it and i've had it more than just a couple times since being back in canada. BUT, Luis' timely encouragement in Amherst always rings true, "what doesn't kill you will only make you stonger."

Speaking of Canada, this beautiful land i happened to be born in...yes, canada, smells SO good! you don't even know...it's like you don't feel as if you're getting cancer just from breathing, and you don't have to worry about polluted water or toxic waste in your backyard or acid raid or...ok, i'm exaggerating, but it IS nice, and everybody recycles. save the environment! yeah!

Last night i went for a walk on the beach of Lake Ontario and as i watched the sun setting over the water, i wondered, "how could i have ever left this?"
And then i remembered atf and i wanted to go back to the country where i found myself, where the majority of my friends live, and where people keep guns in the glove compartments of their cars and celebrate thanksgiving 3 weeks before christmas, for pete's sake. yes, my friends, in all honesty, i want to leave canada for the US...and that's what i plan on doing. Exactly when is yet to be determined. The sooner the better though, toxic waste, acid rain, disapproving parents, and all!

This week has been long as i wait desperately for sunday to get here so i can get to Oshawa! all this sitting around and not knowing anybody in Brighton anymore is really starting to get to me. on the bright side, my dad and i are watching Dream Girls together tonight; he's always enjoyed a good chic flick and bowl of icecream. of course, i will eat mine in honor of justine, christina, and TJ, and whoever else ever joined us in our icecream/orange sherbert/mac&cheese eating/movie watching adventures. I love you guys!

BTW, monte (my love muffin), my mum thinks mitch's quote about you is absolutely scandalous!

I love you my RED [HOTT] TEAM!!!

Once again, my job has been switched. I should be used to this by now, shouldn't i? This will be the 6th job I've had at TM. Actually, I almost didn't even blink when Tara told me I would be changing over to Merch starting Monday! Amazing.

Life in Texas is currently HOT, crowded, BUSY, tiring, CONFINING, and last but not least HUNGRY!

Can you tell I am trying to focus on the positives? hahah, oh the joys of sarcasm :)

But really, this summer promises to be:

                  Fun.

                                Rewarding.

                                                             Full of Green-ness...

                                                                                                   Worth it.

I know, I know....I try.

:)

that's all
